   Youth Advisory Board

Teen Talk New Jersey works in partnership with schools and youth organizations across Southern New Jersey to promote personal responsibility, self-regulation, goal setting, healthy decision-making and healthy relationships through evidence-based learning. If your child is enrolled in a Teen Outreach Program or Love Notes curriculum, you may be familiar with Teen Talk New Jersey.

Teen Talk New Jersey has partnered with the New Jersey Department of Health to create a Youth Advisory Board. If your child wishes to participate and is selected as a Youth Advisory Board member, your child will serve as a youth ambassador in Southern New Jersey. As a Youth Advisory Board member, students create messages and projects that get delivered to the New Jersey Department of Health. The mission of the Youth Advisory Board is to empower and be a voice for today’s youth, and bridge the gap between the New Jersey Department of Health and youth in our community.

If selected, your child will:

  • participate in meetings throughout the school year with other youth to select a message or project they wish to deliver to the New Jersey Department of Health.

  • receive a Visa gift card for each meeting they attend.

  • have an opportunity to present their message or project to the New Jersey Department of Health at a statewide youth conference at the end of the school year.

If you are interested in participating in the Youth Advisory Board, please complete the application below. For more information, email TeenTalkNJ@snjpc.org.
